Job Description Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist (Remote - U.S.-based) Pay: $53.00/hour (W2)
Type: Long-term contract (full-time, ~40 hours/week)

Overview We're hiring
Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacists to support Medicare Part D members and providers with pharmacy benefit requests. In this role, you'll ensure cases are accurately set up, perform clinical review/decisioning, complete thorough documentation, and outreach to providers when additional clinical information is needed-while meeting quality, productivity, and CMS timeline requirements.
What You'll Do - Set up and review pharmacy benefit / Medicare-related cases for accuracy and completeness
- Apply clinical judgment and utilize drug compendia/resources to support decisioning
- Document clearly and concisely within internal systems
- Contact providers to request/clarify clinical information when needed
- Follow work instructions and Medicare/CMS guidance to ensure compliance and timeliness
- Participate in feedback/coaching and continuous improvement efforts
Schedule - Business hours coverage window:
- Mon-Fri: 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM ET
- Sat-Sun: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM ET
- Training (first ~8 weeks): Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM ET
- After training, shifts are assigned based on business needs and may include weekend rotation / at least 1 weekend day
Required Qualifications - Active Pharmacist license in good standing in your state of residence
- Bachelor's in Pharmacy or PharmD (required)
- Comfort with a productivity-driven, computer-based environment (data entry + multiple applications)
- High-speed wired internet meeting 25 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload (speed test screenshot required)
- Dedicated, quiet, separate work-from-home workspace
- Ability to be on camera for training and meetings as part of the hiring/ongoing work process
Nice to Have - Experience in a Managed Care / PBM environment
- Working knowledge of Excel and Word
- Familiarity with tools like Access, PowerPoint, Visio
